Doug’s expertise is as an outdoor adventure guide, not an urban art/architecture/history guide. If you are looking to do things outdoors, not run-of-the-mill, and with variety, Doug’s your guide! He thoughtfully organized a full day visit in the Lucerne region: city, lake, and mountain. The described itinerary was met fully, yet he frequently offered the option to add or delete bits as circumstances allowed. Thus, we felt he was striving to maximize our experience, not just check stops off his list.

Doug was the perfect tour guide for our visit to the picturesque Bernese Oberland Region in Switzerland. We had no hassle of renting a car and driving and wasting time with directions. He is charming and a good driver and showed us many highlights. At a 12th century old castle by Lake Thun, we experienced a jaw dropping magnificent panoramic views of the Alps and the lake.
