Kayak Lake Lucerne And Experience The Mountains From A Different Perspective
Beethoven wrote a beautiful masterpiece called Sonata Quasi Una Fantasia (translates as Sonata Almost a Fantasy) but shortly after his death the piece became infamously known as Moonlight Sonata after a German poet likened the piece to “moonlight shining upon Lake Lucerne”. This gives you the sense of tranquility one can acquire from Lake Lucerne.
Many tourists take boat rides on Lake Lucerne, but kayaking Lake Lucerne is a completely different & unique experience. As an experienced & certified kayak guide I can help you experience the lake in a way many people (including locals) don’t have the opportunity to. Join me for a few magical hours on our uniquely beautiful lake. View the mountains, hidden coves, and castles from a different perspective.
*This is only 1 of the many options of what can be done on Lake Lucerne. We have the option of driving to different parts of Lake Lucerne and kayaking deeper in the mountains or combine kayaking with other activities. For custom trips & quotes please contact me.
ITINERARY
We will meet along the shores of Lake Lucerne, or I will pick you up at your hotel. After a brief safety talk and review of basic kayak instruction we will shove off.
On our kayak 2 hour tour we can paddle past 2 castles (one public, one private), take in the views of Mt Pilatus, Bürgenstock, Mt Rigi and the snow covered alps.
After our kayak tour we will paddle back to where we put in where you can either take a nice walk along the lake back to Lucerne, or I can drop you back off where we met.
Recent Reviews of this Tour
I am a repeat customer of this guide due to his excellent tour of Mt. Pilatus yesterday, see review. Doug’s vast exprerience kayaking makes joining this Private Kayak Tour in Lake Luzern a no-brainer. Despite sudden change in the weather, his experience and positive disposition guided me through wind and waves alike. He was very cognisant of my ability, and happily adjusted the tour accordingly. Needless to say, Doug took lots of amazing photos. Thanks again Doug, my highest recommendation! – Wayne Y.
