A Glacial Paradise 3,238mts / 11,000ft
The Titlis is the highest glacier excursion destination in Central Switzerland. The Titlis and its glacier park are accessible by cable cars and a revolving gondola. At an altitude of 3, 238 meters above sea level, visitors are treated to a fabulous view of the central Alps. At the top, we have the option of walking into the Glacier via the Glacier Cave and a Cliff Walk along Europe’s highest Suspension Bridge. At the other end of the suspension bridge is the Ice Flyer Chair Lift which carries you over the Glacier, giving you the opportunity to look down on the blue hues of the glacier from a bird’s eye view.
On the way down we have the option of stopping halfway down for a flat walk around an alpine lake before descending back down to the town of Engelberg.
If time allows, we can explore the village of Engelberg and visit the famous Benedictine monastery and cheese factory. At the Cheese Factory, we can have a snack & coffee while watching the cheese being made before our train ride back to Lucerne.

Recent Reviews of this Tour
Doug was the perfect tour guide for our visit to the picturesque Bernese Oberland Region in Switzerland. We had no hassle of renting a car and driving and wasting time with directions. He is charming and a good driver and showed us many highlights. At a 12th century old castle by Lake Thun, we experienced a jaw dropping magnificent panoramic views of the Alps and the lake. Doug drove us to several villages in the area. Loved Grindelwald! Thank you Doug for a great 2-day tour and the pictures you took! – Laura M.
Doug is a great guide and was helpful and informative with an American perspective. We had a group with varied requests and he was able to leave each of us with very memorable experience. – Tim C.
